The following changes are being proposed by the 2018 BOD
Voting will take place at the Spring Conference
Section 3 Duties:
A. The President of the Association is required to hold a previous board position- President, Secretary, Treasurer, or Member-At-Large. The President is the previous year's President-elect and holds the President position for 2 years. The President then becomes the next year's Past President. The President shall guide and direct the organization in its policy-making and management functions. He/she shall perform all duties cited in the By-laws and other usual duties as cited in Roberts Rules of Order, Revised.
B. The President-elect position is a 1 year term voted in every other year. After his/her one year term the President-elect becomes the next year's President. The President-elect of the Association will serve as President in the absence of the President and shall perform all duties as cited in the By-laws and other usual duties as cited in Roberts Rules of Order, Revised.
C. The Past-President position is the previous year's President of the Association after his/her two year term is completed. The Past-President will serve to assist the President and Board of Directors.
Section 4 Term of Office:
The MTRA fiscal year is the first day of November and ends the last day of October. The terms of the Board of Directors will follow this time line requiring the new board take office November 1st and terminates October 31st.
